Background The Administrator of the Year
Award is presented to NACWAA members for significant contributions
made as an administrator of intercollegiate athletics. This award,
recognizing administrative excellence, is presented annually to members
in NCAA Divisions I-A, I-AA, I-AAA; II; III; NAIA/Junior/ Community
Colleges and Conferences/Organizations. Honorees will be presented
with their awards during the NACWAA Fall Forum at the Administrator
of the Year banquet. There will be seven national winners.
Eligibility and Criteria All athletics
administrators that meet the following criteria, and are nominated
by a NACWAA member, are eligible. The nominee must:
1. Be an active member
of NACWAA
2. Be employed as a full-time athletics administrator
at the institution, national governing organization or conference
listed at the time of nomination 3. Be committed to diversity
and gender equity 4. Demonstrate commitment, cooperation, and
allegiance in promoting excellence in intercollegiate athletics 5.
Demonstrate a commitment to professional development and mentoring
of athletics administrative staff 6. Serve as a positive role
model 7. Demonstrate leadership and vision in promoting women's
athletics 8. Be committed to the education and welfare of student-athletes 9.
Attend the Fall Forum to be eligible to receive the Administrator
of the Year Award
Nominations Nominators may nominate
one person per category for total of seven (7) nominees. Nominees
will remain in consideration for three (3) years. Nominations
must be received in the NACWAA office. Forms may be mailed,
