Wilmington, NC, January 8, 2009 – Following the retirement of Jennifer Alley on December 31st, 2009, the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators (NACWAA) has announced the appointment of Andi Seger as Interim Executive Director.

“We are fortunate to have an administrator of Andi’s caliber to lead NACWAA during this transition period.  Her experience and knowledge in intercollegiate athletics will be a tremendous asset,” said Carolayne Henry, NACWAA President.

Seger currently serves as a Senior Associate with Alden & Associates, Inc., a higher education executive search and consulting firm. Seger retired from her position as Director of Athletics at Ball State University in 2002 after serving 29 years in the athletic department.

“I am looking forward to guiding such an outstanding professional organization,” said Seger.  “Having been a member of the organization since 1982, I have witnessed its growth in so many areas.  Jennifer has done a wonderful job in moving NACWAA forward, and in particular, establishing professional educational opportunities for female athletic administrators in her thirteen years as Executive Director.  I welcome the opportunity to be of assistance to the membership and look forward to working with the Board of Directors and staff in the coming months,” added Seger.

Andi Seger can be reached at aseger@nacwaa.org or (910) 793-8244.
