Member Profile - Betsy Mosher

Betsy Mosher was named the senior associate athletics director for administration and program integrity at Fresno State University. She will also possess the role of senior woman administrator. Mosher will supervise the sports of baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis, cross country, soccer, men's and women's track and field. She will oversee Fresno State's NCAA and WAC compliance programs, student-athlete services and the athletic training unit.

She comes to Fresno State from the University of Massachusetts, where she has been the associate athletics director for administration and compliance services. While at UMass, she was the campus chair that organized a campus response to a second round NCAA self study, supervised the department's compliance program and was named to the NCAA AEC Cabinet.

Prior to UMass, she spent six years as senior associate athletics director for administration and compliance and SWA at Arizona State. At ASU, her responsibilities included supervision of the department's compliance, academic and student services and outreach to campus, Pac-10 and NCAA. Mosher supervised several sports. She is a past chair of the Pac-10 SWA Committee and served as the departments' liaison to the Office of Civil Rights. In the summer of 2002, she participated in the NACWAA Institute for Athletics Executives.

Mosher was assistant/associate athletics director for intercollegiate services and SWA at Northwestern University from 1989 through 1996. She was a past chair of the Big Ten Women's Administrators Group and Rules and Legislation Committee. She served as an administrative assistant for legislation at the Big Ten Office from 1988-89 and was a compliance representative at the NCAA from 1986-88.
