Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Title IX

Join Us in Celebrating & Honoring Those Who Have Made a Difference in Women’s Athletics
In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Title IX on June 23, 2012, NACWAA is inviting athletics departments, conference offices and organizations across the nation to nominate and celebrate a trailblazer who has made significant contributions in the area of gender equity. The winning video submission will receive a $9,000 gift from the NACWAA Foundation Fund in support of its women’s athletics programs and/or female staff professional development.
To Participate:
1. Create a short video highlighting an individual who has made significant contributions to your athletics department, conference or organization in the area of gender equity.
2. Submit your video in a .WMV, .AVI, .MOV or .MPG format along with your trailblazer’s bio in a Word document of 200 words or less via email to sbaugh@nacwaa.org or mail (NACWAA, 2000 Baltimore, Ste. 100, Kansas City, MO 64108) by midnight on Saturday, March 31, 2012. Videos larger than 10MB may be too large to email, so we'd suggest putting the file on a flash drive or burning it onto a CD to send by mail.
3. Promote, promote, promote! The video with the most views during the designated two-week viewing period will win the $9,000 prize. All videos will be hosted on the NACWAA YouTube Channel.
View and print complete contest details, deadlines and entry requirements.
This is a great opportunity to promote your institution’s support of Title IX and gender equity and honor deserving trailblazers who have helped shaped women’s athletics. The top three videos (receiving the most views) will also be shown at the 2012 NACWAA National Convention, October 7-9 in Kansas City. Representatives from the winning institution and its trailblazer nominee will be invited to attend and be recognized at a commemoration event at the National Convention.
Best of luck!
